PRIVACY POLICY

The Ink System ("we," "us," "our") is operated by Shordy Forge LLC. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the app or website (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the rights you have over it. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
You provide:

Account data — email address and password (hashed; we never see the plaintext).
•
Prompts — the text descriptions you type to generate tattoo designs.
•
Design feedback — ratings, issue tags, and optional comments you submit about generated designs.
•
Photos you upload — if you use skin-preview to overlay a design on a photo of your body.
•
Beta test feedback — if you join a test session, the written feedback and screenshots you choose to submit.
•
Support messages — anything you send us via email or in-app support.
Collected automatically:
•
Generated designs — the images our AI models produce for you, linked to your account.
•
Usage events — screens viewed, features used, generation counts, generation provider used, review scores, and fallback events. Used to improve quality, reliability, and cost controls.
•
Device + technical data — device model, OS version, IP address, crash logs.
•
Billing data — if you subscribe, Stripe, Apple, or Google collects and processes your payment. We receive only a subscription status (active / cancelled / expired) and a customer identifier — never your full card number.
We do not collect:

Contacts, calendar, health, or financial data beyond subscription status.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

Run the Service — generate your designs, save them to your gallery, authenticate you.
•
Improve the Service — understand which features are used, fix bugs, model quality iteration.
•
Billing and subscription management — through Stripe, Apple, and Google.
•
Support — answer your questions and resolve issues.
•
Safety and legal — detect abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, comply with law.
•
Communications — occasional product announcements (you can opt out). Transactional emails (password resets, receipts) cannot be opted out of while your account exists.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. AI GENERATION — HOW YOUR PROMPTS AND IMAGES ARE HANDLED
Your prompts are sent to our server-side proxy and from there to our AI providers: Anthropic (Claude) interprets your prompt before generation, and Replicate (Flux models) or OpenAI (GPT Image fallback and optional image review) generates or reviews the image. Those providers process the prompt, produce a result, and return it. Their own privacy policies apply to their handling (see the sub-processor list below).
We may use prompt, generation, review, save, and feedback data to improve routing rules, prompt templates, quality scoring, and product analytics.
We do not use your prompts or generated images to train or fine-tune AI models unless you explicitly opt in to training use.
We store your generated designs and link them to your account so they appear in your gallery. You can delete any design at any time; deletion removes it from both our database and our storage.

5. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights:

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
•
Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
•
Deletion — delete your account and all associated data by emailing hello@theinksystem.com. Deletion removes your designs from our systems within 30 days.
•
Export — request a copy of your designs and prompt history by emailing us.
•
Opt-out of marketing — unsubscribe via the link in any marketing email.
•
GDPR (EU / UK users) — you may also object to processing, restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
•
CCPA (California users) — the above covers the CCPA's access and deletion rights. We do not sell personal information.
To exercise any right, email hello@theinksystem.com. We respond within 30 days.
6. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA
•
Account data — until you delete your account.
•
Generated designs — until you delete them individually, or until account deletion.
•
Usage events — up to 24 months in aggregate form.
•
Billing records — as long as legally required (typically 7 years).
•
Support messages — up to 3 years.
7. CHILDREN
The Service is not for users under 13. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian's permission. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it.
8. SECURITY
We use TLS for all data in transit, hashed passwords, row-level security in our database so each user can only access their own data, and industry-standard protections with our sub-processors. No system is perfectly secure; you use the Service at your own risk.
9. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
We operate primarily from the United States. If you are in the EU, UK, or another region, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US under standard contractual clauses where required.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app and by email. The "Effective date" at the top shows the current version.
